Dr. Alexandre Prat is a Full Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Montreal Faculty of Medicine and holds the Canada Research Chair in Multiple Sclerosis. He serves as Associate Director of Development at the CRCHUM (CHUM Research Centre) and directs the Neuroimmunology Laboratory, focusing on blood-brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction in multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroinflammatory disorders. His work has led to the development of an MCAM-targeting drug in Phase II trials, and he trains the next generation of researchers through mentorship and institutional capacity-building.
