Alexandre Dias da Cunha is an Assistant Professor at NOVA School of Business and Economics (NOVA SBE) in Lisbon, Portugal. He specializes in teaching Family Business and Small Business Management within Masters programs and leads the school’s Family Business Initiative. Additionally, he serves as the academic director of the executive program "Managing the Family Business." Beyond academia, Alexandre is a senior advisor and associate partner at Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, a board member of Companhia do Pipeline (Mozambican oil and gas company), and CFO of Vumba, the da Cunha family office.
His research and professional focus center on family firms, governance systems, and private label management. Collaborative efforts in his work highlight the complexities of family business dynamics and strategic decision-making processes.
Alexandre’s recent publications explore critical challenges in family enterprises, including succession planning, sustainability, and leadership dilemmas. These works analyze governance structures, strategic management, and operational resilience in family-owned businesses.
