Dr. Alexandra Warwick is Professor of English Studies and Head of the School of Humanities at the University of Westminster. Since joining the institution in 1991, she has focused on 19th-century literature and culture, particularly the fin de siècle era. Her work bridges Gothic studies, Victorian crime narratives, and the intersection of archaeology with literary imagination.

Her research explores the Gothic tradition, including works on Oscar Wilde, Andrew Lang, and the Whitechapel Murders. Her 15 most recent articles span Gothic architecture, zombie apocalypse narratives, and interdisciplinary studies linking literature to science and urban crisis.
