Alexandra Schürcks

Alexandra Schürcks is a Researcher at the Group of Mobility and Transport within the Department of Spatial Planning at Technische Universität Dortmund. She holds a Master's degree in Spatial Planning (specializing in Raum- und Mobilitätsforschung) from TU Dortmund, completed in 2022. Her research focuses on pedestrian traffic dynamics, traffic behavior analysis, and equitable allocation of urban street space.

Since 2022, she has been actively involved in teaching and supervising academic projects. In the 2024 summer term, she is overseeing projects like 'Accessibility for All: Mobility Needs of People with Disabilities' and 'The 15-Minute City as a Blueprint for Sustainable Urban Development in Dortmund.' She also advises Bachelor's and Master's theses.

Her career includes roles as a Research Assistant (2021–2022) and Student Assistant (2020–2021) at the same institution. Her work bridges theoretical research with practical urban planning challenges, emphasizing inclusive mobility solutions and sustainable spatial development.
