Alexandra Perrot serves as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, University of Paris-Saclay, where she conducts research at the intersection of cognitive psychology and aging.
Her primary research investigates age-related cognitive deficits and their modulation through the cognitive enrichment hypothesis, with a focus on evaluating intervention efficacy. She examines how physical activity, exergames, sedentary video games, cognitive training, and combined simultaneous training programs impact cognitive functioning in aging populations. This work bridges theoretical psychology with practical applications for elderly cognitive health.
Dr. Perrot actively disseminates her findings through French media appearances:
- La quotidienne (France 5, 2015): Benefits of exergames for seniors
- Ecran Global (France 5, 2014): Digital media versus Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy
- We're not just guinea pigs (France 4, 2013): Motor learning mechanisms
- It's Not Magic (France 3, 2012): Memory processes
She maintains an ORCID profile (0000-0003-1246-2221) for research tracking and can be contacted directly at alexandra.perrot@universite-paris-saclay.fr or +33 (0)1 69 15 39 32 from her office in Building 335, Room 121-1 at the Bures sur Yvette campus.
