Alexandra Millner is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of German Studies, University of Vienna, specializing in modern German literature, migration studies, and gender theory within Austro-Hungarian cultural contexts. She has held prestigious research positions, including the Elise Richter Fellowship (2012–2015), and focuses on transdifferenz and transculturalism in literature from 1867 to 1918.

Her research explores the intersection of gender, ethnicity, and cultural identity in Austrian and German-speaking migrant women's literature, with a strong emphasis on postdramatic theater and modernist prose. She has co-edited volumes on Albert Drach and H.C. Artmann, and her work contextualizes interwar and contemporary Austrian literary movements.
Recent publications analyze spatial narratives, intertextuality, and feminist critiques of historical texts.
