Alexandra Meise

Alexandra (Xander) A.K. Meise is an Associate Teaching Professor at Northeastern University School of Law, where she joined in 2021 as part of the Legal Skills in Social Context program. Her research focuses on sovereignty, statecraft, national security, and human rights at the intersection of policy and international law.

• Current visiting professor at the US Army War College (2023–2026), Department of National Security and Strategy.
• Affiliated with the Truman Center for National Policy as a Visiting Senior Fellow.

Her work integrates democratic institutions, economic development, and climate change impacts into rule of law and national security frameworks. She has extensive practical experience in international dispute resolution, human rights litigation, and legal reform design.
