Alexandra Harrington is an **Associate Professor** at the UB School of Law, serving as Director of the Criminal Justice Advocacy Clinic and the Innocence and Justice Project. She specializes in criminal justice reform, juvenile justice, and prisoners' rights. Before joining UB, she was a Senior Liman Fellow at Yale Law School, supervising projects on solitary confinement, women in prisons, and criminal fines/fees in Connecticut. She also co-taught the Liman Workshop and a legal writing course.

Her research focuses on systemic inequities in criminal sentencing, juvenile justice reform, and parole policies. She has produced nationwide reports on solitary confinement and testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Her advocacy includes securing early parole for individuals convicted as juveniles and challenging harsh sentencing laws.
Advising & Grants:
- Supervised students in Liman Center projects
- Directed Connecticut’s juvenile parole implementation
- Secured habeas corpus relief for marginalized clients
She leads the Innocence and Justice Project, which provides direct legal aid to wrongfully convicted individuals and advocates for policy changes. Growing up in Buffalo, she is committed to local justice reform efforts.
