Alexandra Ludewig

Professor Alexandra Ludewig is the Head of the School of Humanities at The University of Western Australia, specializing in German and European Studies. She holds a Dr habil. from Koblenz-Landau, a DPhil/MA from LMU Munich, and a PhD from the University of Queensland. Her research focuses on identity, 'Heimat,' German cinema, and translation studies, with notable works including War Time on Wadjemup and co-authored The Lives and Legacy of a Carceral Island, which won major awards. She integrates technology into teaching, using Echo360 platforms for video lectures, polling, and flipped classrooms.
