Alexandra Locking

Alexandra Locking is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History Education at Saint Anselm College. Her research focuses on medieval Europe, particularly the 11th and 12th centuries, exploring how religious beliefs, gender concepts, and power dynamics influenced medieval Christian society. She is currently working on her first book examining the impact of religious reform on elite laywomen’s roles and initiating a project analyzing the intersection of gender, race, and early crusading movements.
