Alexandra Leewon Schultz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics at Dartmouth College. Her research focuses on ancient Greek literature, Greco-Roman cultural history, and feminist theory. She holds a B.A. in Classics and Computer Science from Brown University (2011), an MSt from the University of Oxford (2012), and a Ph.D. in Classical Philology from Harvard University (2021). Prior to academia, she worked as a software engineer at Microsoft.
Her expertise includes Greek literature, canon formation, and gender studies. Current projects include a book titled *The Mirage of Alexandria: A New History of Libraries in Greco-Roman Antiquity*. Key publications explore topics like Sappho's poetry and imperial literature's relationship with libraries.
Recipient of the 2020 John J. Winkler Memorial Prize for her analysis of Sappho's work. Her career includes a Research Fellowship at Jesus College, Cambridge, and teaching roles emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to classical studies.
