Alexandra Lasczik is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Southern Cross University (Australia), serving as Associate Dean for Education Partnerships and Research Co-leader of the SEAE Research Cluster. With 40 years' experience in Visual Arts education, she integrates artistic practice with scholarship through A/r/tography, focusing on climate change education, movement, and social justice. Lexi's work bridges pedagogy, equity advocacy, and community engagement.
Education: BEd(Art) (1981–1984, University of Newcastle), MEd Curriculum Studies (1997–1998, Western Sydney University), PhD (1999–2004, University of Sydney).
Research emphasizes arts-based methodologies addressing socioecological challenges. Her recent work explores walking inquiry, youth-led climate action, and posthumanist frameworks. Over 150 publications span art education, environmental pedagogy, and critical research methods.
