Alexandra Lagorio is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management, Information and Production, University of Bergamo. She holds a PhD in Economics and Management of Technology (2018) from the University of Pavia and University of Bergamo, and a Master’s in Transport Engineering and Logistics from the University of Genoa (2013). Her research focuses on urban distribution logistics, last-mile challenges in e-commerce, supply chain optimization, and the integration of human factors in Industry 4.0/5.0 contexts. She has contributed to major projects like the 'Plan Bergamo 2.035' urban logistics initiative and collaborated with the CELS research group.
Her work emphasizes innovative technologies in logistics, including agent-based simulations for healthcare networks, AR applications in manufacturing, and resilience strategies for supply chains. Over 25 peer-reviewed articles demonstrate her expertise in logistics systems, digital transformation, and workforce adaptation. She has explored topics such as vaccine distribution optimization, anti-food-waste digital tools, and the evolving roles of operators in smart manufacturing environments.
Key collaborations include the Liguria Region, CELS group, and industry partners like Natuzzi SpA. Her research bridges academic rigor with practical applications, addressing both operational and human-centric dimensions of modern logistics and manufacturing systems.
