Alexandra Holzinger

Dr. Alexandra Holzinger is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford and a Stipendiary Lecturer at The Queen's College, Oxford. She is also a 2025-2028 member of the European Mathematical Society's Young Academy (EMYA).

• BSc and MSc in Technical Mathematics from TU Wien (2016, 2019)
• PhD in Nonlinear PDEs from TU Wien (2023), supervised by Prof. Ansgar Jüngel

Her research focuses on nonlinear partial differential equations derived from interacting particle systems, with emphasis on mean-field limits, non-local PDEs, and applications to biology and neuroscience. She has presented her work on mean-field convergence at international workshops.

In teaching, she has led courses at both Oxford and TU Wien, including Differential Equations 1, Multivariable Calculus, and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations. She received Austria's highest academic distinction (PhD sub auspiciis praesidentis) and multiple awards for her thesis and publications.
