معرفی
Alexandra Edwards is a Research Associate at Boise State University's Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering, joining in October 2024 for the Quantum DNA (QDNA) Research Group's Single Molecule Characterization Team. Previously, she worked as a Research Technician at Boise State's Isotope Geology Laboratory (IGL), a Graduate Student and Research Assistant at the University of Georgia (UGA), and an Analytical Chemist at Bridger Analytical Lab in Montana.
Education
- B.S. in Geosciences, Boise State University (2016)
- M.S. in Geology, University of Georgia (2022)
Research Interests
Alexandra's work bridges Geochemistry, Isotope Geology, and Analytical Chemistry, with applications in Environmental Science, Archaeometry, and Materials Science. Her expertise includes elemental and isotopic analysis using advanced techniques like LA-ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS, XRF, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Her graduate research focused on lead isotopes and PCA-based MNIs in colonial bronze bells, while her earlier projects involved geochronology (zircon dating) and isotopic analysis of archaeological remains.
Professional Affiliations
She has contributed to interdisciplinary collaborations at UGA's Plasma Chemistry Laboratory (PCL) and Center for Applied Isotope Studies (CAIS), as well as commercial and academic projects in geology, biochemistry, and environmental studies. Her current role involves single-molecule characterization in the QDNA Research Group.
