Alexandra Durcikova

Alexandra Durcikova is an Associate Professor and Division Director of Management Information Systems at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma. Her research focuses on knowledge management and end-user cybersecurity behavior. She investigates how organizations can enhance secure behavior through technical and educational interventions, particularly in phishing defense and knowledge repository adoption.

Education: Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh (2004); M.Sc. in Solid State Physics from Comenius University, Bratislava (1994).

Research emphasizes two key areas: 1) Adoption of electronic knowledge repositories in organizations, and 2) Mitigating security risks via behavioral interventions. She employs survey methods and experiments, with notable contributions to phishing prevention frameworks and collective cybersecurity strategies.

Awards include an NSF grant ($500k) as co-PI (2014), a Best Paper Award at HICSS (2010), and teaching excellence recognition (2009–2010). Her work appears in top journals like Information Systems Research and Journal of Management Information Systems.
