Alexandra Diehl is a Senior Researcher at the Visualization and MultiMedia Lab (VMML) at ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on Visual Analytics, Data Science, and Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis on visualization guidelines, citizen data integration, and weather event analysis. She leads the DSI Fellowship project on visual tools for severe weather communication (2020–2022) and co-leads an SNF SPIRIT grant on uncertainty visualization in weather forecasts. Her work bridges academic and industry applications, including projects like WeaVA and Hornero.
