Alexandra Brausmann

Alexandra Brausmann is an Associate Professor in Environmental and Resource Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Vienna, and a member of the Environment and Climate Research Hub. She holds a Master's in International Economics (MIS) from The Graduate Institute (Geneva) and a PhD in Economics/Resource Economics from ETH Zürich.

• Research Focus: Climate change impacts (macro/micro), environmental migration, resource management, climate policy, agricultural economics, growth and sustainability.
• Recent Publications: Co-authored works on endogenous climate shocks, undocumented migration economics, and climate policy effectiveness, published in journals like Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and Environmental and Resource Economics.
• Teaching: Offers courses in Environmental Economics (MA) and Resource and Environmental Economics (BA) at the University of Vienna.
• News: Co-organizing a workshop on the Political Economy of the Environment in February 2025 at the University of Vienna.
