Professor Alexander Yakunin is a faculty member at Bangor University's School of Environmental and Natural Sciences, specializing in enzyme discovery, enzymology, and biocatalysis applications. He holds a PhD in Microbiology from the Winogradsky Institute of Microbiology (1987) and an MSc in Molecular Biology from Moscow State University (1978).
