Alexander Wilson is a Researcher at the University of Leicester's School of Archaeology and Ancient History, affiliated with the ERC-funded Body-Politics project led by Dr. Marianne Hem Eriksen. He holds a PhD from Durham University (2013–2017) and served as a postdoctoral researcher at Universität Tübingen (2018–2023), where he also guest lectured (2018–2019). His research focuses on medieval Norse textual sources, particularly the Íslendingasögur (sagas of Icelanders), examining sociopolitical dynamics in outlaw narratives and the interplay between prose and poetry in saga literature.
