Dr. Alexander Weinstock is a Researcher at the University of Hamburg's Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC), affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. His work focuses on the history and theory of drama/theatre, 18th-21st century literature, philological materiality, aesthetics, and pedagogical models. He has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Cologne and UC Berkeley, contributing to projects like the DFG-funded Cluster of Excellence 'Understanding Written Artefacts' (2019–2025). His research explores manuscript dynamics in theatrical contexts, Enlightenment-era pedagogy, and the intersection of aesthetics with labor anthropology.
