Dr. Merryl Rebello serves as the Coordinator of the Graduate School at the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC) within the University of Hamburg. Her role involves overseeing academic programs and fostering interdisciplinary research in manuscript studies.
Her research interests focus on cultural heritage preservation, digital archiving, and comparative manuscript traditions. She contributes to projects like the DiPiKA – Digital Preservation of Kerala Archives and collaborates on initiatives safeguarding manuscripts in regions such as Nepal, Timbuktu, and Southeast Asia.
Rebello is affiliated with CSMC's specialized labs, including the Data Linking Lab and Human-Computer Interaction Lab, advancing methodologies for analyzing and preserving written artefacts. She also participates in international knowledge exchange programs and public engagement activities, such as the CSMC Blog and film projects.
