Alexander Swartz

Alexander Swartz is a Researcher at Minnesota Sea Grant, part of the University of Minnesota. He supports the invasive cattail-dominated shorelines project team in assessing regional effects of cattail removal on nearshore lake ecosystems across Minnesota by measuring water quality variables, identifying plants, and sampling and identifying fishes.

His research interests focus on aquatic ecology and habitat restoration, particularly in addressing the ecological impacts of invasive cattails on lakeshore biodiversity.
