Prof. Dr. Alexander Schmidt-Catran is a Professor of Sociology with a focus on quantitative empirical social research at Goethe University Frankfurt, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. He coordinates Project No. 5 of the RISS initiative, studying the impact of immigrant population composition on native attitudes. His research emphasizes statistical methods for multilevel and panel data, migration, welfare states, and secularization trends. He previously held roles at the University of Cologne and Mannheim.
