Alexander Salter is the Georgie G. Snyder Associate Professor of Economics at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. He specializes in monetary economics, political economy, and property rights economics. Salter holds a PhD and MA from George Mason University and a BA from Occidental College. His research explores topics ranging from constitutional monetary frameworks to the historical foundations of liberal institutions.
He serves as the Comparative Economics Research Fellow at TTU's Free Market Institute and as Associate Editor of the Journal of Private Enterprise. Salter has authored over 70 academic articles and 250 popular writings, focusing on themes like central bank governance, economic methodology, and the intersections of religion and economics. His recent work examines medieval political constitutions, digital currencies, and the philosophical underpinnings of market economies.
