Alexander Rubin

Alexander (Alex) Rubin is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Field Education at the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. He focuses on connecting students with meaningful field placements and emphasizes the integration of classroom learning with professional practice. His work bridges technical and self-learning aspects of social work education.

His research interests include field education methodologies, acceptance and commitment therapy applications in social work, and leveraging technology to enhance practice. Prior to academia, Rubin served as a therapist and trainer for evidence-based clinical practices.
