Alexander Rennet is an Associate Professor in the Teaching Stream and Associate Chair (Math) at the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, University of Toronto Mississauga. His work focuses on pedagogical innovation and curriculum design in undergraduate mathematics education.
- Current research explores student experiences in hybrid learning environments, active learning strategies (including Inquiry-Based Learning), and the integration of technology like the MathMatize platform to support transitions from secondary to university-level mathematics.
- He has secured funding through the UTM Teaching Development and Innovation Grant (TDI) and the UofT Learning Education Advancement Fund (LEAF) Impact grant to study curricular redesign and teaching methodologies.
- He organizes professional development initiatives for teaching assistants and instructors, such as the MCS TA Day, Teaching Workshop, and Summer Instructor Showcase.
