Prof. Dr. Alexander Meyer-Gohde is a Professor of Financial Markets and Macroeconomics at the Goethe University Frankfurt, affiliated with the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability (IMFS). Since 2018, he has led the Chair of Financial Markets and Macroeconomics, focusing on methodological foundations of macroeconomics and its interaction with financial markets through nonlinearities in risk, uncertainty, and market frictions.

Current grants include a DFG-funded project on numerical diagnostics (2021–2024) and a Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre grant for interactive Matlab modules (2022–2023).
He co-authored publications with students Johanna Saecker and Mary Tzaawa-Krenzler, and collaborates with researchers like Martin Kliem and Hong Lan. His work appears in journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory and Computational Economics, with technical contributions to backward/forward error analysis and stochastic steady state approximations.
