Alexander Mentzer

Alexander Mentzer is a Principal Investigator and Senior Clinical Researcher at the University of Oxford's Nuffield Department of Medicine (part of the Medical Sciences Division). He is also an Honorary Consultant physician in Infectious Disease and General Medicine at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His research bridges human genetics and immunology to study infection susceptibility, with a focus on tuberculosis, malaria, sepsis, and viral diseases like SARS-CoV-2, herpes, and hepatitis.
