Alexander Liberzon

Prof. Alexander (Alex) Liberzon is a faculty member at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tel Aviv University, within the Fleischman Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on experimental fluid mechanics and turbulence, employing minimally intrusive methods such as particle image velocimetry (PIV), three-dimensional Lagrangian particle tracking velocimetry, infrared thermography, and MEMS sensors for fluid mechanics and rheology measurements.

His work spans diverse applications including cloud dynamics, stratified turbulent/non-turbulent interfaces, biomedical fluid dynamics, dilute polymer solutions, electrorheological fluids, and the intersection of biology with turbulence. He leads the Turbulence Lab at Tel Aviv University, which explores both fundamental and applied aspects of fluid mechanics.
