Alexander Lam

Dr. Alexander Lam, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), specializing in Interventional Radiology. He completed his medical degree at UC Davis School of Medicine (2013), followed by an internship in Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center (2014), a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at UC Irvine School of Medicine (2018, serving as Chief Resident 2017-2018), and a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine (2019).

His research interests include interventional radiology techniques, vascular diseases, and cost-effectiveness of medical procedures. He has published extensively on topics such as embolization, angioplasty, and radioembolization. Notable awards include the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award and the American College of Radiology – Association of University Radiologists Research Scholar Award.
