Alexander Kunin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Creighton University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University, with additional degrees from Stony Brook University (BS in Mathematics, minor in Computer Science), University of Alabama Huntsville (MS in Computer Science), and University of Nebraska–Lincoln (MS in Mathematics). His research focuses on the intersection of mathematics and neuroscience, particularly examining structure-function relationships in neural networks and applying algebraic and combinatorial methods to data analysis.
Research Interests:
- Structure-function relationships in neural networks
- Applications of algebra and combinatorics for data analysis
- Mathematical modeling of complex systems
