Alexander Hsu

Alexander Hsu is an Assistant Teaching Professor affiliated with the Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion and the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies. His roles include academic advisor and program manager at the Ansari Institute.

Research Focus: Hsu studies early Buddhist scriptures in medieval China, integrating

to analyze how texts reflect transformations in religious reading practices. His current book project investigates the use of anthologies to 'economize' the Buddhist scriptural canon.
