Alexander Graser is a Professor of Public Law and Policy at the University of Regensburg and a Fellow at the Hertie School. Previously, he held a Professorship in Comparative Public Law and Social Policy at the Hertie School from 2006 to 2011. Before that, he served as a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Social Law in Munich from 1997 to 2006. His academic accolades include the Otto-Hahn Medal (2001) and the Bavarian Habilitation Förderpreis (2003).
He holds degrees from Oxford University and Harvard Law School, with a doctorate and postdoctoral qualification in public law, comparative law, legal sociology, and theory from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich). His research focuses on public law frameworks, comparative legal systems, and sociological aspects of legal theory.
