Alexander Gorgijevski is an Assistant Professor at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), affiliated with the Project, Innovations and Entrepreneurship (PIE) division. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at VU Amsterdam's Management & Organization department (2021–2024) and earned his PhD in International Business from Uppsala University in 2021. He has also been a visiting researcher at WU Wien, Austria.
His research focuses on the intersection of international strategy and corporate entrepreneurship, emphasizing subsidiary initiatives in multinational corporations (MNCs). Key themes include subsidiary power bases, initiative-selling tactics, and strategic influence within MNC ecosystems. Methodologically, he employs FsQCA, SEM (LISREL), regression analysis, and qualitative interviews.
Teaching spans international management, cross-cultural management, and project management courses in English and Swedish. Notable roles include coordinating the 'Project Management in Urban and Regional Planning' course and teaching 'Leadership and Organizational Change'.
His articles explore topics like green technology disruption, micro-political behaviors in innovation, and subsidiary attention-building strategies. He collaborates with researchers such as Diana Kushnir, Thomas Magnusson, and Viktor Werner, contributing to Linköping’s PIE division, which focuses on project management, innovation, and entrepreneurship research.
