Alexander Dreischuh

Alexander Dreischuh is Professor of Physics and Dean of the Faculty of Physics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Bulgaria. His research spans classical nonlinear optics, singular optics, holography, and ultrashort laser pulse generation. He has held research positions at Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Germany and maintains international collaborations in Australia and Germany.

Research focuses on nonlinear wave phenomena including dark spatial solitons, optical vortices, and symbiotic laser beams. Investigates phase modulation effects, four-wave mixing processes, and techniques for characterizing ultrashort laser pulses. His work in singular optics explores methods for generating and measuring complex wavefront dislocations.
