Philippe Grelu

Philippe Grelu is Professor of Physics and Optoelectronics at University de Bourgogne in Dijon, France, and research theme leader in the 'Solitons, Lasers and Optical Communications' group. His research focuses on nonlinear dynamics in photonics, particularly dissipative solitons in mode-locked lasers.

He investigates soliton molecules, light bullets, and the dissipative soliton resonance phenomenon for generating high-energy pulses from fiber laser oscillators. His work provides frameworks for understanding complex pulse dynamics and enables new designs for reconfigurable optical systems.
