Alexander Boukhanovsky is a Professor at the Artificial Intelligence Technologies Faculty of ITMO University. He has served as the Head of the National Center for Cognitive Research and the Research Center “Strong AI in Industry,” and previously led the High-Performance Computing Department and the School of Translational Information Technologies.
- PhD in probabilistic modeling of wind-generated wave fields (1997)
- DSc in parallel mathematical support for statistical measurements (2005)
His research focuses on artificial intelligence, cognitive technologies, high-performance computing, and computer modeling of complex systems. With an Scopus h-index of 16, he has authored 250+ publications, 53 intellectual property objects, and led 70+ research projects and grants in ICT. He has supervised 35 PhD and DSc holders.
