A. Alexander Beaujean is a Professor in the Department of Psychology & Neuroscience at Baylor University, where he has been a faculty member since 2017. He previously worked in Baylor’s Educational Psychology department, where he established the quantitative methods specialization and contributed to the school psychology program. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees in School Psychology and Educational Psychology (with emphasis in Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation) from the University of Missouri.
Research Interests: Dr. Beaujean’s research centers on individual differences, with a focus on psychometric methods, cognitive ability, personality, and educational measurement. His work applies advanced statistical models—especially latent variable models and item response theory—to understand human variability and improve psychological assessment.
Publications and Research Trends: His recent publications reflect a strong emphasis on test validation, ethical issues in school psychology, and the theoretical foundations of cognitive assessment. His work bridges methodological rigor with practical application in educational and clinical settings.
