Alex Miele serves as an Assistant Professor and Lead Practice Coordinator for Group Atlantic in the Comprehensive Care Department at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He has been a faculty member since 2015, initially as a Clinical Instructor before advancing to Assistant Professor in 2017, and maintains over 40 years of clinical experience as a general dentist since graduating in 1983.

Dr. Miele specializes in comprehensive dental care delivery systems, clinical dentistry practice management, and dental education pedagogy. As Lead Practice Coordinator, he develops curricular frameworks for clinical skill acquisition and patient management.

Dr. Miele actively shapes institutional policy through committee leadership including the Faculty Advisory Council (2020-present), Emergency Director Search Committee (2021), and multiple Practice Coordinator Search Committees (2019-2020). His service extends to the Operative Calibration Committee, Admissions Committee (2018), and international outreach via Dental Global Service Learning in the Dominican Republic (2019).
