Alex Hollingsworth

Alex Hollingsworth is a Senior Lecturer in Town Planning and Subject Co-ordinator for the MSc Spatial Planning programme at Oxford Brookes University's School of the Built Environment. He holds a BSc (Econ), MA, and PhD.

His expertise focuses on the UK planning system, with teaching responsibilities across undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Planning Frameworks, Sustainable Futures, and Planning Practice Skills. He leads the Planning Frameworks module and oversees the Research Project/Dissertation component.

Research interests include sub-regional governance dynamics, evidenced by his upcoming article in Environment and Planning C: Politics and Space. He contributes to external training via the Local Government Association and Planning Advisory Service. He is affiliated with the Planning, Policy and Governance (PPG) research group and involved in the 'Just 15-Minute City' project.
