Dr. Alex Fenton holds a post-doctoral research position at Humboldt University Berlin's 'Reflexive Metrics' research group while serving as research assistant at the German Center for Higher Education Research (DZHW). His career includes roles as Research Fellow at LSE (2011-2012) and Research Associate at the University of Cambridge (2006-2011). He completed a Sociology doctorate at Leibniz University Hannover in 2018 focusing on poverty statistics and welfare state comparisons between Britain and Germany since 1970.
Education includes a MSc Social Research Methods from University of Surrey and Social Anthropology studies at University of Edinburgh. His expertise spans regulatory science, science policy, sociological analysis of statistical systems, and welfare state studies.
