Alex Evans is a Senior Lecturer in Music Technology at Kingston University's Kingston School of Art, where he teaches recording, production, and music business. He also serves as Education Officer at Visconti Studio, a collaboration between Tony Visconti, the British Library, and the Science Museum.

Evans' research focuses on mixed-media performance and evolving music production technologies, including projects like Vox Rosa and Follow the Sun that explore interactive platforms and wireless tech in live performances. His career spans both academic and industry realms, including co-founding the British rock group Moke (with US top 20 hit My Degeneration) and working with major labels like Warner Bros.
His work at Visconti Studio investigates the heritage and future of analogue recording, combining historical analysis with experimental applications of modern tools. Evans also leads the Music Technology BA Hons program, emphasizing practical skills for 21st-century musicians.
