Alex Dorgan is a KTP Associate at Coventry University collaborating with NHS England. She focuses on translating research from the MESARCH project into policy improvements for sexual violence survivors. Her role bridges academic research with healthcare and criminal justice system practices.
Education:
- BA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (University of Oxford, 2006-2009)
- MSc in Environmental Technology (Imperial College London, 2010-2011)
- PhD in Human Geography (University of Sheffield, Awarded: 26 Oct 2022)
Research Interests: Sexual violence prevention, climate resilience, sustainable development, evaluation methodologies, and interdisciplinary approaches to healthcare access. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly addressing education, health, and social justice.
Professional Experience: Prior to academia, Alex worked as an independent research consultant and in frontline sexual violence support services. She leads the MESARCH project’s policy implementation phase, examining service access for survivors of sexual violence.
