Dr. Alex Bowles serves as a Senior Lecturer in Applied Pharmacology at the School of Health and Social Wellbeing, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), a position he has held since 2018. He teaches pharmacology to healthcare professionals in the Non-Medical Prescribing Programme and allied health students.
His expertise spans medication safety across vulnerable populations—including children, older adults, and emergency care settings—with emphasis on prescribing, deprescribing, and pharmacology education.
