Dr. Alex Ashmore is a full-time Lecturer in Crime and Investigative Studies at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Life Sciences. He also serves as Employability Lead for Forensic and Investigative Courses.
- Educational background: BSc in Forensic Science (ARU), MSc in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology (UCL), Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care
His research focuses on:
- Location, recovery, and identification of human remains in aquatic environments
- Effects of aquatic environments on tissue decomposition
- Missing persons investigations in England and Wales
- Police and search-and-rescue operational relationships
