Alex Antonopoulos is a Researcher at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine within the University of Oxford. His work focuses on the interplay between adipose tissue and the cardiovascular system, particularly in the context of vascular inflammation and atherosclerosis.
He earned his PhD at the University of Athens, Greece, where he studied adiponectin's role in endothelial function. Subsequently, he received a European Society of Cardiology Grant and a Marie Curie Fellowship to continue his research under Professor Charalambos Antoniades at Oxford.
