Alessio Degl'Innocenti is an Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg, affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry. He holds the role of Adjunct Senior Lecturer and is part of the CELAM - Centre for Ethics, Law and Mental Health. His academic journey includes a PhD in Psychology from the University of Gothenburg (1998) and prior work in the pharmaceutical industry from 1998–2009.
Research interests focus on forensic psychiatry, psychiatric issues, patient-reported outcomes in clinical trials, and the psychosocial impact of pandemics on healthcare workers. Notable projects include studies on resilience in healthcare organizations during crises, forensic psychiatric care practices, and the development of screening tools for autism spectrum disorders.
