Dr. Alessio Bellato is a Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the University of Southampton and an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. His research focuses on emotion regulation, psycho-physiological markers (e.g., heart rate variability), and neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD and autism. He leads the South-East Asia Mental Health Consortium (SEAMHC) and serves as Joint Editor of JCPP Advances. He teaches courses including Developmental Psychopathology and Evidence Synthesis at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His work bridges clinical practice and research, emphasizing global mental health equity and innovative interventions. Key projects include investigating CBT effects on autonomic arousal and establishing SEAMHC’s regional research network. Awards include Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
