Alessio Bartolacelli is an Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Department of Law of the University of Macerata since 2018. He holds the Jean Monnet Chair titled 'Business Law in the European Union and Sustainable Economy.' His roles include co-delegate for internationalization and research, Erasmus project coordinator, and leader of the CIELIP Programme. He is a member of the PhD in Law and Innovation program and the University Spin-off Technical Commission. His work focuses on commercial law, European company law, sustainability, and legal frameworks for digital assets.
Education: PhD in Commercial Law from the University of Brescia (2008), Laurea in Law with honors from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2004), recipient of the 'Donata Testi' Award for best thesis.
Research & Grants: Leads projects like TRUST (strengthening relational reliance through technology) and REINITIALISE (digital ethics in healthcare). Active in EU-funded initiatives such as SMART (Responsible Trade) and HEART (IoT in healthcare). Research interests span corporate governance, legal harmonization, and sustainability in business.
Teaching: Courses include European Company Law, Crypto Law, Commercial Law, and Sustainable Innovation. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate programs, emphasizing practical legal assessments and international perspectives.
